Indian Armed Forces are the military forces of the India
managed by the Ministry Of Defense of the Government of India. The President of
India is the supreme commander of Indian Armed forces , it consists of three
professionally uniformed forces Indian Army , Indian Navy and Indian Air Force
additionally supported by Indian Coast guards and Paramilitary forces.

forces established on 1-April-1895 from the armies of East India company which
eventually became British Indian army and later after Independence became
National Indian Army.

INDIAN NAVY ( Bharatiya Nau Sena )
The Indian Navy is the naval branch of Indian Armed forces
its main objective is to safeguard Indian maritime borders. Originated in 1612
by East India company marine to protect British merchant shipping in the the
region. Later east India company established its rule over Indian subcontinent
and in 1830 colonel navy was renamed as Majesty’s Indian navy.In 1934 it was
renamed as Royal Indian army and after India became a republic country it was
renamed as Indian Navy in 1950.

The Indian Air Force is the air branch of Indian Armed
forces its main objective is to safeguard Indian airspace.Indian Air force was
officially established on 8-Oct-1932 as an auxiliary air force of British Empire
to serve in world war II as Royal Air Force later after Independence of India it was renamed as Indian Air force on 1950.

INDIAN COAST GUARD ( Bharatiya Tataraksak )
The objective of Indian Coast Guard is to protect India's
maritime interests and enforce maritime law. Indian Coast Guard was established
on 18-Aug-1978 by Parliament of India as independent armed force under Ministry
of Defense.
